LargeBizSectionHeaderThere was a time when electricity and natural gas were provided to our neighborhood by just one utility company. Prices were sorted by the state government’s regulatory approval. Consumers could not choose their preferable provider. Prior to this deregulation, electricity was provided by local utilities or regional monopolies that controlled both the power generation and distribution channels for delivery. Small Business Energy Supply is a process where independent energy companies supply electricity to homes and bargain at prices based on current market values. Mostly their prices are relatively lesser than those offered by the government-regulated utility companies. It means that consumers now have options. Several different energy companies can now compete to supply electricity and/or natural gas to our homes and workplaces. The only difference being: it is supplied by an independent energy company at a remarkably lower cost.
